Back to my POOR NEGLECTED BLOG

Here's hoping I will be more regular with posting.

For now, here is an up-dated list of my events in my life:


  1. I am still living in Norfolk, Virginia, although I will soon be moving back to the Newport News, Hampton, Yorktown area.  This should happen at the beginning of September.
  2. My brother moved in with me going on three years ago.
  3. My car is completely paid for, but my student loans go on forever.
  4. I have started an Avon business and an online craft business.  I have made more money selling items on eBay than I have made selling Avon... go figure.
  5. I have only one cat now, as my beautiful Evelyn had to be put down.
  6. The Culinary Institute of Virginia, where I work, is opening a new facility in Newport News and they need a financial aid adviser to work there... that is why the move to the Peninsula.
  7. My landlord won't release me from my lease a month early, so I will have to commute a few weeks through the busiest tunnel in the world--that is not an established fact.  The HRBT just seems to be the busiest tunnel in the world when one gets stuck in traffic when trying to get home from work in a reasonable amount of time.
  8. Blue is still my favorite color.
  9. My joints are a much more accurate meteorological tool than the National Weather Service.
  10. I have finally reached the age where no one expects me to practice for or to run a marathon.
  11. I no longer worry if I look like I am 30... or 40... or even 50.  Giving up vanity is one of the most liberating experiences of my life.

Sleep Disorders

One of the most embarassing moments of my life happened when my b/f told me that I fart in my sleep. He told me it pisses him off when I do it. My first thought was, "Am I farting so loudly that I wake him up?" My second thought was, "It's a really good thing that he doesn't live with me." My third thought, "I will never ask him to stay over night again because I won't sleep worrying about whether or not I fart." My fourth thought, "Oh yeah, big boy? Well, You drool AND snore. You think I enjoy your slobber all over my shoulder when we aren't having sex? You think I enjoy the sound of a train rollling through my bedroom every time you take a breath?
